When times are tough, it's often difficult to dig deep and give our best financial gift. What if $1 could change the lives of people in Chicago area communities.  One dollar, you ask?  Yes, one dollar.  If each person challenged themselves to donate a gift of $1, our combined efforts would make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. One dollar. That's one hundred pennies, twenty nickels, ten dimes, or a single paper bill. The $1 Charity Challenge is a program which allows individuals and families to give a gift that's simple, affordable, but with lasting benefits.  Each month The $1 Charity Challenge uses its donations to support 501(c)3 organizations which provide human services to the people of Chicago and  surrounding communities. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to join us in The $1 Charity Challenge.  Thank you for your financial support!

Founded in 2001 by a small group of community leaders, The Englewood Food Network provides programs designed to promote healthy living.  The mission of The Englewood Food Network is to service the community by feeding the hungry and combat dangerous living conditions within the Englewood community.  The Englewood Food Network has received numerous awards, most recently a $30,000 grant from Kraft for the purchase of delivery trucks which delivers food to their 35 food distribution sites.   Today, the Englewood Food Network is a strong alliance of emergency food centers serving the Englewood and West Englewood communities.
